Emotional intelligence in sports and workplace

+++ The continuing education course is held as an in-person seminar +++

Are you fascinated by how successful athletes can perform at their best in decisive moments under extreme pressure? Would you like to learn how to create a facilitative emotional environment, which often makes the decisive difference between victory and defeat? As a coach, would you also like to promote team spirit in your school class or team, or improve your own athletic performance or that of your athletes through emotional intelligence training?

In this training course, you will master how to implement all these skills in the context of your own team, class, or project group. You will discover how to strengthen your relationship with your athletes, employees, students, or patients, thereby increasing trust and the quality of cooperation. You will learn practical activities for improving emotional intelligence and, together with the instructors, adapt them optimally to your individual needs. Ultimately, the training course aims to enable you to adapt your own emotions to the circumstances at hand and to deal with the emotions of others in the best possible way.

  • Introduction to the various aspects of emotional intelligence
  • Teaching exercises that train participants to deal with their own emotions and those of others: from identifying the emotions that arise in a given situation to regulating and using emotions to achieve desired goals
  • Enabling participants to develop and carry out their own exercises so that they can incorporate them into their own (team) training, teaching, or treatment
  • Getting to know the “Profile of Emotional Competence” (PEC) and enabling participants to use and evaluate this questionnaire themselves and give feedback to others

Highlights and benefits of the training

  • You will have a 30-minute one-on-one meeting with Maša Iskra to receive individualized feedback on your own emotional intelligence (based on the results of the “Profile of Emotional Competence” (PEC) questionnaire completed as part of the training)
  • Lunch is included on both days of the event, giving you the opportunity to engage in discussion with the other participants and the instructors.
